Your Right Price is Higher than the Customer Expects

June 28th, 2012

“I fear not the man who has practiced 10000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10000 times. ”

– Bruce Lee.

We all feel fear when we give the customer the price face to face. That is why you should practice with someone to say the price with a poker face. You should not look like Mr Lee above.

You should look sincere. And right before you say it you should think about the amazing work you will be doing. Think about how happy the customer will be because you are able to go the extra mile, because you are being paid well and can say no to other customers. Your result will be insanely great in the customers eyes.

And remember two things. Firstly the customer also feels uncomfortable asking for and hearing about the price. Secondly¬†the customer is supposed to think and even say “that is TOO much!” If the customer says “Yes that price will do nicely.” You have priced yourself too low.
