How can you train yourself to become a great networker? These seven pictures give you a simple method. Follow the system and practice, practice, practice.
You are competent at your work and an introvert. See! First step was easy! Not sure if you are you an Introvert? More about introverts in a blogpost I will write next year.
You write a 30 second elevator pitch. Your elevator pitch includes your name and a sound bite to make the listener curious about what you do best at your job. Practice in front of a mirror at home 20 times. Practice on friends 10 times.
Now you go out your door and meet a new person. Practice your elevator pitch.
Follow up by e-mail or letter. Write down who you followed up and what you wrote.
You goal is to help the person you met in some way that person wants to be helped. For example share a tiny bit of your professional knowledge for free.
