Relevant blog commenters are golden. Who better to find these Golden Commenters than a Connector?

“The success of any kind of social epidemic is heavily dependent on the involvement of people with a particular and rare set of social gifts.” According to Malcolm Gladwell. One of these three types of people are the Connectors.

Connectors, are the people in a community who are in the habit of making introductions. A Connector may meet you one day and later connect you with a person who may help you. Her is an example:

Get the Right Person to Connect Commenters to Your Blog

Let us say you blog about your diet. One day you meet a young lady who knows a handful of engaged and intelligent diet enthusiasts. You tell her you are on the look out for knowledgeable people to write interesting comments on your blog. Later that week two of her friends start to comment on your blog regularly.

“The Tipping Point”

Gladwell states, “Ideas and products and messages and behaviors spread like viruses do …” One of the three attributes of a social epidemic is according to Gladwell “The Law of the Few”. For more on connectors listen to our Bookcasting Podcast about Gladwell´s book “The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference.”

I love the fact that we actually managed to extract something useful from this book. Everybody should have a connector for their blog. Who is yours?

Thanks for the nice words, Silvano. As for SilverStripe and Saphire, I’ve heard of SilverStripe, but have no personal experience with it. As for what framework will serve “us” best in the future, that’s an unanswerable question. The right framework for me may be different than the right framework for you. And the right framework for project X may be different than the right framework for project Y. Assuming a framework is right for the project at all. My advice is always to use the framework that works best for you when you think it makes sense to use a framework at all.

I do not know if it’s just me or if everyone else experiencing problems with your website.

It looks like some of the written text in your posts are running off the
screen. Can somebody else please comment and let me know if
this is happening to them as well? This could
be a issue with my internet browser because I’ve had this happen previously.

    Cheers

Do you think it may be a cultural thing and not just a male thing. Do men all around the world talk like this too women, or is this behaviour just part of a “juvenile” male culture which has been supported by social structures that aren’t in place elsewhere.

It just fries my brain. All those tater tots with no home, no place to go. Can’t even go to school now. What’s happening to the system? They’re tater orphans now, left to freeze. How will they ever become tater teens and the future leaders of our country? Spuds unite! You have eyes- keep them peeled. They’re is so much going on right now. Stop being such an underground movement and meet your destiny
